Stall (aerodynamic)
Flight planning
An aerodynamic stall occurs when a wing exceeds its critical angle of attack and airflow separation reduces lift. It is not an engine stoppage and can occur at different airspeeds.

- Strömungsabriss (Stall)
Published stall speeds refer to specified mass, configuration and loading conditions. Increased load factor, for example in a level steep turn, raises stall speed. A stall combined with yaw can develop into a spin. Warning signs and recovery procedures vary by aircraft.
In practice
Practise recognition and recovery with an instructor at a safe altitude. Avoid tightening a low-level turn with excessive bank or rudder; maintain the flight manual’s speed margins and coordinated flight.
